Dallas Toler-Wade, guitarrista e vocalista da banda Nile desde 1997, não faz mais parte do grupo. O anúncio foi feito pela banda através de sua página oficial no Facebook. Na nota, publicada no último dia 13, Karl Sanders, membro fundador da banda, agradece a Dallas por todos os anos em que esteve com a banda e lhe deseja sorte em seu futuro com a música.

Nesta nota, ainda, o baterista George Kollias também agradece a Dallas por todos os anos em que estiveram juntos (Kollias integra a banda desde 2004) e lhe deseja sorte em seu novo projeto, dando a entender que a saída dele estaria ligada ao projeto que ele tem com Edwin Rhone, o Narcotic Wasteland.

Em entrevista recente à Artemis Rock News, Dallas afirmou que seguiria com o trabalho nas duas bandas paralelamente e que a agenda de uma não interferia na agenda da outra.

Artemis: Como tem sido conciliar as agendas do Nile e do Narcotic Wasteland? O trabalho de uma banda acaba interferindo no trabalho da outra?

Dallas: Não. Eu nunca permitiria que isso acontecesse. Nós sempre sabemos com antecedência como serão as agendas das bandas, então temos tempo de sobra pra fazer com que as coisas funcionem bem.

Este anúncio acontece às vésperas do início da turnê norte-americana em conjunto com a banda Overkill e, nesta mesma nota, Sanders e Kollias anunciam a entrada de Brian Kingsland na vaga deixada por Dallas. Segundo Sanders, “todos no Nile estão verdadeiramente felizes e agradecidos por trabalharem com Brian. Ele não é um apenas um talentosíssimo ‘triturador de guitarras do metal extremo‘, mas também uma grande voz para o metal brutal, extremamente versátil” e diz que “a última vez em que se sentiu tão bem em relação à formação da banda foi quando George Kollias se juntou à banda“.

Já Kollias, em sua mensagem de boas vindas a Kingsland, afirma que “Brian é um guitarrista/vocalista incrível” e que “ele trouxe um novo clima para a banda“. Os fãs do Nile se mostraram surpresos com o anúncio, afirmando que viam Dallas como um membro permanente da banda e que sentirão falta dele.

Dallas, em sua página pessoal no Facebook, agradece a todos os fão do Nile pelo apoio e a todos os amigos e bandas que conheceu durante os anos em que ele esteve com a banda. Ele diz que segue trabalhando com o Narcotic Wasteland e que lançará, em breve, o segundo álbum da banda. A todos os fãs que enviaram mensagens de apoio, ele agradece pelo carinho e diz que responderá a todos assim que possível.

“I would like to personally thank Dallas Toler Wade for his many years with the band, and sincerely wish him well with his music .
All of us in Nile are truly happy and thankful to be working with Brian . Not only is he a seriously talented Extreme Metal Guitar Shredder, but he has a great Brutal Metal voice , with a very versatile range . Brian is also a genuine , down-to-earth hard -working and motivated guy who has helped reignite and re-establish a sense of team work back into Nile. With the addition of Brian on guitar and vocals, The band right now seems to me a lot more like the early years of Nile- the Classic Nile era when we were all functioning as a cohesive unit , in viciously brutal Triple Vocal attack mode . The mood in the Nile rehearsal room for the last 3 months has been focused and relaxed ; with 4 positive , energized , hard working people all on the same Metal page. We simply can’t wait to share what we have been working on with Metal Fans on the upcoming Overkill Tour. Between the addition of Brian , and Bassist / Vocalist Brad Parris now in his 2nd year in the band , this line-up is going to Crush Skulls. Just in case anyone has not heard the news I have departed from Nile. I would like to thank the fans of the band, all the friends and bands I met over the years.
You are truly great people.
This is the end of the road for me and Nile, but not the end for me and music. My band Narcotic Wasteland is going strong as we are nearing completion of our second album. We plan to release it this year and hit the road at some point. Also I did solo guitar work on Jon Vesano’s new In-Defilade album slated to come out soon. I plan to stay as busy as I can with music on whatever level possible.
Also thanks everyone who is messaging me. I will reply as soon as I can. I wish Nile the best.
